We are a woman-owned company founded in 2006 by Jill M. Vales as JMV Management Services, LLC, dba CFO Services On Demand. In 2021, we rebranded the company to Count On UsSM Controller Services to better align our identity with the level of expertise most often needed and valued by non-profit organizations, government agencies and small businesses. In 2025, long-time key employee Vice President Ellen Clement purchased the business in alignment with a formal succession plan and was named President. Jill Vales continues with the company as Senior Advisor.
We offer outsourced Accounting, Controller, Finance Director and CFO services, customized to our clients’ needs. Some clients engage us just to supervise their Office Manager or Bookkeeper, while others take advantage of our complete menu of services.
Count On Us is a management accounting company, not a typical CPA firm. We do not conduct independent audits or file tax returns. But we gladly assist clients prepare for and facilitate those functions.
We focus on working with clients in Upstate South Carolina. We do not focus on companies in highly specialized industries such as manufacturing, healthcare or financial institutions.
